Kim brings many years of study and instruction in parent-child
education to her work as lead teacher in the Sun Garden mixed-age kindergarten class. In addition to her master's degree in Waldorf early
childhood education, she has completed advanced trainings in innovative
methods such as Emmi Pikler's approach from Hungary and Magda Gerber's
RIE approach from Los Angeles. Kim's work with parents promotes healthy
development at critical stages in the young child's life. Kim also
offers workshops and talks to parents of very young children in other
settings. She currently moderates an internet group for parents,
teachers and child-care providers
and one of her essays appears in the Waldorf Early Childhood
Association's newest book, A Warm and Gentle Welcome. Kim has three
children of her own and a baby grandson.
