Laura Gabelsberg Grade 2 Class Teacher Since 1995, Laura has been a teacher in public and private schools teaching children from first through sixth grade. She is the co-founder and former board member of two private schools in Texas, most recently, the North-Houston based Waldorf initiative, the Great Oak School. Mrs. Gabelsberg has a rich history of community and civic involvement as a volunteer for various non-profit organizations. Mrs. Gabelsberg joined the Tucson Waldorf School in the summer of 2010 as the incoming first grade teacher. She will complete her Waldorf Certification with Antioch University in the summer of 2011 and will continue pursuing her Master's Degree in Waldorf Elementary Education. Laura and Alan, her husband of many years, enjoy spending time with their three children who attend the Tucson Waldorf School. In her free time, Mrs. Gabelsberg enjoys sewing, reading poetry, writing, playing guitar and enjoying her new home in Tucson by hiking, camping and biking. |
