In the current dialogue to transform schools in the U.S., Waldorf Education is gaining
renewed national interest and attention.  In 2011, Waldorf schools were featured on the
cover of The New York Times and by NBC Nightly News, highlighting the benefits
and results of Waldorf Education.

Tucson Waldorf School was established in 1993, based on the principles of the 90-year-old Waldorf educational model. Today, there are nearly 2,500 Waldorf schools worldwide.

By fully comprehending the developmental phases of childhood, Tucson Waldorf School meets each child with age-appropriate content that nourishes healthy growth for the
Waldorf student.   The curriculum is enlivened and enriched through music, movement education, drama, writing, literature, history, science, mathematics, languages (2), legends
and myths, and biodynamic agriculture.  These are not simply subjects to be read about
and tested, they are experienced. Through these very experiences the Waldorf student cultivates his or her intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual capacities.
