Linda
Braun
(Grade 3)
After having worked for 10 years in early childhood education, Linda
was asked to be the founding lead kindergarten teacher of our school
when it opened in 1993; she taught in this capacity through the
1998-99 school year. From 2000-2006, she served as the Children's
Education Director of Congregation Chaverim. She is delighted to
be back at Waldorf now in the capacity of a grades teacher. Linda
began learning about anthroposophy and Waldorf education from her
first college roommate, beginning in 1975. She received her Waldorf
Kindergarten certification in 1994; this followed her 1979 B.A.
in Art and Literature from Johnston College, in Redlands, CA, and
an Early Childhood Teaching Certificate in 1982 from the College
of St. Catherine, in St. Paul, MN. Linda has raised two wonderful
children, now quite grown up, with her beloved husband. Her hobbies
include knitting, crocheting, fiction writing, and road cycling.
