Megan Austin
(Music Teacher & Parent-Child Group Leader)
After a twelve year career as an attorney, Megan started working
at the Tucson Waldorf School as the Enrollment Coordinator in 2005.
At the beginning of the 2006-07 school year, Megan started teaching
Music. Megan’s love of music began at a young age. She started
playing the recorder when she was five years old, and remembers
singing with her parents all the time. Her musical experiences grew
considerably when, at the age of seven, she moved to England for
three years, and sang and played the recorder at school every day.
Back in the United States, throughout her school years, Megan studied
music, sang with both large choirs and small ensembles, and performed
in musical theatre productions. In college, Megan sang with the
Maryland Camerata, the choir in residence for the National Gallery
of Art in Washington D.C., and performed with that group on tour
in Germany.
